Peter Boardman Associates seeks to promote the work of artists and art-based organisations whose work does not conform to traditional models of presentation.

We secure funding for and evaluate such work, thereby expanding
opportunities available both to artists and to current and new audiences.

Late Music: the Late Music Concert Series presents work solely by living composers of exciting music. Its home venue is the Unitarian Chapel, St. Saviourgate, York.


National Centre for Early Music: National Centre for Early Music: the NCEM, at St Margaret’s Church York, is a centre of excellence for music making of all kinds and the home of the internationally renowned York Early Music Festival. The Centre also attracts some of the world’s finest artists in the fields of jazz, folk and world music.

Touch: one of the most respected audio-visual labels, Touch presents sound and music works in innovative ways and unusual settings.


University of York Music Press: UYMP's purpose is to publish and promote new and established composers with a range of aesthetic backgrounds.

Celebrating the Bee/The Bee Symphony: The Bee Symphony, consisting of recordings of bees by Mike Harding (Touch) and Chris Watson (The Life of Birds, The Life of Mammals, Life in the Undergrowth and Life in Cold Blood) and a vocal score by Marcus Davidson (Spire) will be performed live by Chris Watson and five singers from the University of York, conducted by Marcus Davidson. The Symphony was originally commissioned as part of Pestival and performed in Queen Elizabeth Hall, on the South Bank in London.
